Bugline Sports Bar & Grill Information
The Bugline Sports Bar & Grill is named after the Waukesha County “Bugline” Recreation Trail. The trail owns its existence to the quarries near Lannon. Trains once hauled the famed Lannon stone from deep lime stone pits which still operate today. The “Bug” refers to the passengers that rode on old Milwaukee/Mississippi Railroad Company during the 1870’s and on. In 1983 the railroad was converted to a recreation trail surfaced with crushed lime stone, today it is paved. The trail runs from Menomonee Falls to Merton for 12.5 miles. The trail is used by joggers, bikers, cross country skiers and snowmobilers.
